Why use Helixhr?
Our mediation work is based on getting the best result for all parties, from a conflict situation.
We recommend it to:
- resolve conflicts positively
- avoid litigation
- to have a positive strategy for resolving disputes rather than waiting for them to take a negative course.
This service has grown organically as part of our HR offering and includes; interpersonal disputes, personality clashes, disagreements over the direction or the purpose of the business, clashes of values and management styles that are seen as too aggressive.

Our interventions
Without being too grand, our basic tactic is to get people to reflect, talk to each other and find a way of communicating that is more constructive. This is then agreed as a way of operating in the future.
The type of intervention might be:
- Improving understanding through a personality tool such as Myers Briggs Temperament Indicator or conflict resolution tool such as MBTI or Thomas Kilmann Conflict Instrument (TKI)
- Investigation into value conflicts using NLP and other psychological methods
- Coaching of individuals
- Training in giving feedback in teams
Who
Mike Shreeve Chartered FCIPD is trained in the above approaches and has worked in many management teams to improve results through mediation as a first stage alternative to formal dispute procedures.
Costs
Fees are charged at £175 per hour. An initial consultation involving individual interviews and a summary report will take four hours. Thereafter, a quotation will be provided with a recommended action plan and attendant costs.
